Dear Parents/Guardians, 

I hope this letter finds you well and that the school year has started off on a positive note for you and your child. We greatly appreciate your support in creating a vibrant learning environment for our students. Your enthusiasm and involvement play a crucial role in their success.

Last week, as I had the privilege of visiting every campus in the Gainesville Independent School District (GISD), I was genuinely inspired by the energy and excitement our students exhibited. They are truly fired up and ready to embark on an incredible journey of learning and growth. This enthusiastic start sets a fantastic tone for the rest of the year.

I am writing to invite you to become an integral part of this journey by joining our Parent Advisory Committee (P.A.C.). We recognize that parental involvement is one of the cornerstones of a thriving educational community. The P.A.C. provides a platform for parents like you to contribute to the shaping of the future of GISD. Your insights, perspectives, and ideas are invaluable as we navigate the exciting challenges and opportunities that come with a growing city and school district.

**Importance of Parent Involvement: **

When parents are actively engaged in their child's education, amazing things happen. Academic achievement improves, school communities flourish, and students feel more supported in their learning endeavors. By joining the P.A.C., you'll have the chance to:

- Share Your Ideas: We believe that every parent has a unique perspective to offer. Your input can help us make informed decisions that positively impact our students' educational experiences.

- Collaborate with Administrators: Working closely with GISD administrators, you'll have the chance to contribute to the strategic planning and direction of the district.

- Connect with Other Parents: The P.A.C. is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow parents who share a common goal – providing the best possible education for our children.  

**P.A.C. Meeting Schedule: ** Our P.A.C. meetings for this academic year are scheduled as follows: - October 3 - December 12 - March 6 - April 11    

All meetings will take place from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Gainesville Administration Building. Your participation is vital, and it is my goal to have 100 parents in attendance. Together, we can continue the work of designing a bright and promising future for GISD.

Your voice matters, and we genuinely want to hear your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions as we shape the educational landscape for our students. Your commitment to their success will undoubtedly have a lasting impact.
