Cameron Green Named Director of Fine Arts & Director of Bands

Gainesville ISD is pleased to announce that Cameron Green has been hired as the new Director of Fine Arts & Director of Bands for the 2024-2025 school year. Over the past eleven years, Green has served as a band director at multiple school districts, including both junior high and high school levels. In his previous position, Mr. Green served as the Director of Bands for North Garland High School for four years. 

Green attended Texas Christian University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Music Education- Instrumental (Tuba). In the following years, he gained experience teaching a variety of musical instruments to middle school students in Dallas ISD as the Assistant Band Director. Green returned to school in 2014 to further his musical education, receiving a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University Commerce, and he anticipates graduating from Grand Canyon University-Phoenix later this year with a Doctoral degree in Educational Administration. 

GISD is looking forward to the many opportunities and changes Green will bring to the Fine Arts Program.
