  • Bus Transportation Request

    As a reminder, Head Start and Pre-K students are not eligible for bus transportation. 
     

    SUMMER SCHOOL: Enter start date June 10, 2024. Please enter "summer school" in the special instructions box.
    The deadline to sign up for bus transportation for the first week has passed.  You may still sign up for the bus, but it will not go into effect until June 10. 

    FALL 2024: Enter start date August 7, 2024.
    The deadline to submit a request for bus transportation is July 29, unless your student is a new enrollee to the district.  All requests for transportation received after the deadline will not go into effect until August 19.

    Once registered students are placed on bus routes, parents and guardians will be able to view stop locations and stop times through the app or website. This is NOT automatic, so please give  5-7 days for the request to be processed and visible. Transportation routes for the school year are typically finalized and published online prior to the first day of school.

Transportation Mission Statement

  • The objective of the Gainesville I.S.D. Transportation Department  is to provide safe, efficient and dependable transportation for the students and parents of  the district. We recognize that this is an important service within the educational system.  As members of the Transportation Department, we will conduct ourselves as professionals,  dedicated to caring for the people we serve. We will also serve to be progressive in thought  and action as we plan for the present and the future. We must do our part willingly and unselfishly.  Working together, we will provide the safest and best service possible. When this is accomplished,  we can be proud of the contribution that each of us has made in preparing our students for the future.
