The 2024 election for the GISD Board of Trustees was cancelled because our two incumbents, Laura Otts and Nathan Dempsey, ran unopposed. At the Board meeting on Tuesday, Mrs. Otts took the Oath of Office to serve for another three years. Mr. Dempsey was absent but took his Oath at a later date. This will be the third consecutive term for Mr. Dempsey and the second for Mrs. Otts.

Following the Oath of Office, the Board voted for officer positions for the next year. The offices will remain the same and Corey Hardin will serve as the President, Marvin Royal Vice President, and Nathan Dempsey Secretary.
