Barry Biffle grew up in Cooke County and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1990. After that, he attended the University of Oklahoma and later graduated from the University of Alabama. He has had a distinguished career in the airline industry.

He started as a District Sales Manager for American Airlines and American Eagle in 1995 and later became a Project Manager and Senior Analyst for American Eagle Airlines in 1997. Then in 1999, he went to work for US Airways serving as a Manager of Sales Strategy and Analysis, Director of Consumer Revenue Opportunities, Director of International Planning, and later the Managing Director of Marketing.

In 2005, he joined Spirit Airlines where he served as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Technology and the Chief Marketing Officer. In 2013 he became the Chief Executive Officer of VivaColombia. After a year working as a consultation with Indigo Partners in Arizona, Biffle became the President of Frontier Airlines based out of Denver, Colorado. Frontier currently has annual revenue of 1.7 billion dollars and 15 million passengers annually.

He is married to Brandy Barnhart Biffle, Class of 1989, and has one son, Banks Biffle.
