Choir Qualifies 18 for State

On Saturday, February 4,  33 GHS Choir Students traveled to Sanger for UIL Solo and Ensemble contest. The students did an excellent job preparing some very difficult classical pieces for our judges.
Of the 33 students 23 achieved a 1st division rating (the very best rating) and of those 23 students 18 performed a class 1 solo (the most difficult) and qualified for state. Please congratulate these fine singers on their achievements. We have doubled the amount of state bound singers from last year and they are all very excited!
